Hip sites working to improve the world

I've finally found the time to do a page for all you activists out there. Basically this is a resource and networking page that you can use to link up with people working on projects you feel important. It took me a while to get this page together because most of these sites are gophers and learning how to surf them is no easy matter. The secret: use your web browser to surf them rather than some dumb gopher program. Any suggestions for sites you think belong on this page are encouraged.

Institute for Global Communications
Institute for Global Communications gopher. This one's probably the mother of them all. Peace Net is on it and it also has a lot of enviromental stuff. The Pacifica Radio Tape Archives are also stashed on this gopher. This is a useful site where you can pick the year something happened, search for a subject and see if Pacifica has a tape on that subject. I used it to look into Allen Watts death.
The Gopher at The Well. Most people already know about this gopher, but I thought I'd include it for any newbies out there. You can also use it to connect up to other gophers, which is how I found the URL of the above site.
